Payments and Stripe

Clients pay into your own Stripe account. We take nothing from your sales; our price is your plan, monthly or yearly.

Where to find it: Settings, Payments

Owners and managers can set up payments. Until Stripe is connected, you can sell at the desk with cash or your own terminal and record it in Kinhour.

Connect Stripe

  • New to Stripe: press Create your payments account. Stripe asks for your business and bank details on its secure form, which takes about five minutes. You get a full Stripe dashboard for payouts, refunds and disputes.
  • Already on Stripe: press Connect the Stripe account you already have. Your clients' saved cards and customers come with it, so memberships carry on without anyone entering a card again.

What the status means

  • Not set up: nothing is connected yet.
  • Stripe is checking: this usually takes a few minutes, sometimes a day or two.
  • Needs attention: Stripe needs a few more details, or has paused payments until they are added. The page lists what is missing and by when. Press Finish setup on Stripe to add them.
  • Payments on: clients pay into your Stripe account and Stripe pays out to your bank.

Press Open your Stripe dashboard for payouts, refunds made in Stripe and your Stripe settings.

Ways to pay

Press Choose to pick what clients see in your payment box. Cards are always on, and Apple Pay and Google Pay ride on cards. Depending on your country and currency you can add methods such as Klarna, iDEAL, Bancontact, SEPA Direct Debit, MB WAY or Multibanco. A method whose money arrives days later is never offered for a class place.

Disputes

With Send dispute evidence automatically on, we put the evidence together from your records and send it to Stripe 48 hours before the deadline, unless you hold it or edit it first. Disputes

Stripe charges its own card fees, as it does anywhere you use Stripe. We add nothing on top and take nothing out.
