Where the money goes
- Card and saved card payments go back through Stripe, on your account.
- Gift card payments go back onto the gift card.
- Cash, terminal and other payments: you hand the money back yourselves, and the refund records it.
A refund can never be more than what is left on the order. An amount is a goodwill refund: money goes back, but nothing that was bought is undone. With Everything left or Chosen items, a line that is fully refunded is undone as well: unused pass credits are taken back, a membership ends and a gift card is voided.
The client gets a refund email, and in Portugal a credit note is issued. Commission earned on the sale is taken back in proportion. Commissions
Only owners and managers can refund. The front desk does not see the Refund button.
