Booking rules
How booking, cancelling, no-shows and the waitlist work for every class. Each class can override them in the catalogue.
Where to find it: Settings, Booking rules
Each rule reads as a sentence with a number in it. Change the numbers and press Save changes. The rules apply to every class from then on. Owners and managers can change them.
Booking
- How many days ahead clients can book (30 to start with).
- How many minutes before the start booking closes (0 means right up to the start).
- How many minutes before the start check-in opens.
- Limit bookings per day, and Limit open bookings, if you want either.
Cancelling and no-shows
- Cancelling is free until a number of hours before the start (12 to start with). After that it is a late cancellation.
- Whether a late cancellation uses the credit, and any fee it charges.
- Whether a no-show uses the credit, and any fee it charges.
- A card on file is needed before a first booking, if you switch it on.
- Mark no-shows automatically: anyone still booked 30 minutes after the class ends becomes a no-show. Off to start with, so the register decides.
Fees go on the card on file. With no card, the client sees an open amount in their account.
Waitlist
- Book the next person automatically: when a place opens, the first person who can pay is booked in and emailed.
- Offer them the place: the offer is held for a number of minutes, then passes to the next person.
- No waitlist.
Nobody is moved up closer than a set number of minutes before the start, because they would not see it in time. The desk can still give places by hand.
More
- Members can bring a friend, on passes with guest places.
- How many days a membership whose payment failed keeps booking while the card is updated (7 to start with).
- Classes below their minimum can be cancelled automatically a number of hours before the start.
